A. Language schools/ programs
Provincial governments do not necessarily regulate language programs at private schools. Students need to make sure that the private school applying meets provincial education requirements and to apply for a visa depending on a duration of the study in Canada. In a province of Quebec, students need to apply for Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ) before applying for a study permit.
B. Academic program (more than 6months)
Students must be accepted at a Canadian educational institution (At post secondary institutions, private career and vocational schools) before applying for a study permit. In Canada, each province or territory manages its own education system. Different provinces and territories have different options and services for students. In a province of Québec, students need to apply for Certificat d’acceptation du Québec (CAQ) before applying for a study permit.
C. Working Holiday program
Japanese citizens can obtain a Working Holiday visa to be able travel, work and study up to one year in Canada to experience Canadian life. However participants need to meet the specific requirements in order to participate.
